Come celebrate fall's bounty with SAFE! We'll be harvesting campus olives (which you can take home and brine with our handy guide), selling delicious homemade and locally sourced pumpkin pie and ice cream, hosting a fun arts and crafts table, and featuring a bevy of environmentally-inclined organizations, on and off campus. There will be live music performed by local artists, too!

[If you plan on harvesting olives, it would be great to bring a container, just in case we run out]

The Society for Agriculture and Food Ecology invites you to join us for a Celebration of the Harvest. Co-hosted by the Cal Cooking Club, Slow Food on Campus, STEAM, and the Student Organic Garden

  • Pumpkin pies from local Family farms
  • Straus Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Music by The Frey Brothers (3rd generation Biodynamic) and The Faculty Fiddlers.
  • Winter veggie- starts for sale
  • Seed sorting
  • Information on the many issues surrounding the deep crisis in our agricultural system.

Celebrate with us a vision for a healthier harvest – shaping the attitudes, appetites and aspirations for a sustainable, just and ecological food system.
