Fermentation Skillshare

We are also organizing two skillshares with the intention of teaching people to make their own cultured foods and then bring them to the Sandor event.

Our first skillshare will be held next week on October 25th. It will be a performance in three acts, Veggies, Dairy, and Beverages. We’ll show you how to make two items in each catagory- each item gets 20 minutes- a demonstration in itself on how quick and easy it is to include yummy and nutritious fermented foods into your busy lives. Everyone is welcome!

RSVP required at karmin510@gmail.com

NEW VENUE FOR THE SKILLSHARE

Willard Middle School, Cooking Room on the corner of Stuart and Telegraph in Berkeley. Look for the first entrance on the Stuart side, at the corner of the school.

We’re really fortunate to be able to use this space, come see where hundreds of public school kids learn to cook food they grow themselves in the Willard School Garden! Almost every school in Berkeley has a garden and cooking program where kids learn about sustainable food systems and nutrition from pre-school to high school- meet an Americorp volunteer at Willard at the event and learn more and how you can get involved. (Willard also built a beautiful wood burning cob pizza oven last spring with the kids..come see!)
